I came home from work on Monday, to find kite making in progress! I've been wanting to make kites for the boys forever. I mention it to Mike, and he gets the supplies, designs the kites, and lets the boys decorate them. Harrison loved flying the kite. He even thought that the kite would pull him up to the sky. Every single day, he wants to go outside and fly his kite, but we have only had rain. Joshua, on the other hand, had the unlucky experience of his kite breaking. I did some research and bought some sled kites. They are supposed to be the easiest kites for kids to fly! I hope that Joshua will have a better experience when the new kites arrive.
Emily is crawling around and following her big brothers everywhere!

She loves to talk, and every night she sits on my lap and we talk about the day. I think she will do this every night before she goes to sleep.
Harrison is still very tenative at school, and is very good at paying attention and keeping quiet. We read our first chapter book together,
No Talking. He told me he was going to try not talking at school the next day. I really don't know that the teachers would have notices, but I am still glad that he changed his mind once we went to school! I can't believe that I will register him for kindergarten on Saturday. How do they grow so fast.
Joshua prays very quickly in a high pitched voice that I can't understand him. But after the prayer, he always tells me the things that he prays for. He loves to read books, and his reading consists of memorizing books. I think he has about ten books in his repitoire.
As for the parents, Mike is still flying the "friendly" skies. And I only have three more weeks of teaching and taking classes. I've been teaching Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher! I've really enjoyed the class that I've been taking and have been working with two wonderful teachers. I''ve been placed in both 1st and 4th grade. The first grader are gifted, and it is amazing the things they can come up with. I've enjoyed working with both because they are both excellent teachers, but have different approaches. I wish that more of my education was "field" based rather than classroom based, but I guess I would have to become a department head at a university to change the system. Thanks to Jennie, Mike and Cheryl for taking wonderful care of the children while I am working!
